Pune Warriors Team 2013 – Sahara Pune Warriors IPL 6 Squad List

Pune Warriors set for the eye of the tiger

In 2010 there was an auction for the addition of two more teams in Indian premier League (IPL). Subrata Roy, the owner of Sahara Group bought the IPL team of Pune which represents the city of Pune in Maharashtra. He bought the team with the highest bid in the history of IPL by any company so far. He also constructed a new stadium in Pune which is now the home ground of the team. They showed potential in the last seasons thus the audiences are expecting more from the Pune Warriors team for IPL 6.

Pune Warriors have signed a number of heavy weight international players like Graeme Smith, Jesse Ryder along with our very own Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Ashish Nehra, Murali Kartik etc. When Nehra got injured they replaced him with Sourav Ganguly (the former captain of Kolkata Knight Riders). Before the series of IPL 5, Sahara had a tiff with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Thus, Subrata Roy withdrew the team and gave rise to a huge controversy which resulted in a major blow up for BCCI. Later on Pune Warriors, i.e., Sahara solved their indifferences with BCCI and announced that the team will play.

Many people did not take this team seriously at first but they are proving time and again that they are here to stay. They are showing their colors gradually surprising and shocking everyone. Last season the Pune Warriors team faced Mumbai Indians which is considered as one of the strongest team in the first inaugural match and defeated them. Thus you never know what to make out of them. This is a considerably new team with experienced and matured players.

Audiences and cricket fans are looking forward for the Pune Warriors IPL 6 squad to surprise them. Owners have promised that this season Pune Warriors IPL 2013 squad will try harder to show their fans what they are made of. They will try their level best to please their fans. Pune Warriors team for IPL 2013 will show cricket lovers how cricket is played.
